Welcome to 2002 Issues, Opinions and EssaysThe format of 2002 Issues (Opinions and Essays) has changed. It simply got far too long to load. That was why I decided to give each article their own titled WebPages. That should make things easier for you to read what you want. The objective of this section is to get past the rhetoric of the news and it is the second year of Issues existence. Some of the material you may find here is quite serious, while others are satire. The issues can be about politics or religion. Or they can simply be about observations made in my daily life. The articles are submitted irregularly, based on when something comes to my attention that feels important at the moment I begin to think about them. In fact, the irregularity of the writing sometimes reflects the amount of time that I have given to a particular article. As a writer I am processing a number of divergent ideas at one time and I often like to let them converge as connected ideas into an outcome within the article as you read it. For the product produced this is a classic form of Journalism which I can enjoy right now because there are no external deadlines or strings attached. I hope that you like 2002 Issues. You can be assured that there is no political agenda involved in my writing. I am attempting to rationally approach the issues as they come to my attention. You may not agree with my conclusions and that is OK. The important thing is to break past the narrow confines and constraints of influence which we are both surrounded and bombarded. But if you feel you must, reinforce your existing opinion through your dissention. All that I request through your choosing to read of these essays is that you consider the issues. It is simply a fact that we live in interesting times. This planet we live on is populated by cultural collectives that are directly competing for limited resources. At no time in the history of mankind has there been so much religious aggravation and cultural clashes. We all know more about the risks to our existence. The advent of the Internet has illuminated to the have not cultures all of the things that they have been missing. I believe that all people and cultures are important even though some have become more productive and valuable than others. I also believe that all cultures have parts to them that are negative and selfish. If there is truth out there, it is to be found in between the ideals of truth that factions have chosen to manifest. If you have comments you may write me using the feedback link at the bottom of the page. Although I may not be able to respond to everyone, I will do my best to respond to legitimate and positive input. For last years Opinions and Essays click on 2001 Issues above. Regards, Roy D.
