Rivers
And Oceans

It takes
no intelligence or
animal tooth to
listen to nature to
speak of the truth. We
are all of that Ocean and
all of that River from
which all life emerges and
all must deliver. All
Rivers must search both
night and by day, for
they have not a home or
a place they can stay. All
Oceans hold presence where
deep currents play, because
Oceans so deep must
have their own way. The
Oceans lay restless, as
part of our Earth, as
Rivers must wander to
give them birth, in
pools of creation, where
the two meet, in
seminal fluid, become
complete. Spawning
new life, in
innocent sand, in
dark Ocean beds surrounded
by land, in
fertile black earth where
green things grow, where
meadow deer graze, and
light breezes blow. Between
hardness of logic, and
the quite of a quiver, the
essence of Man is
that of the River. Between
softness of feelings, as
their natural lotion, the
essence of Woman is
that of the Ocean. It is
who we all are, and
what we’ve all been. Denial
of our nature is
our primary sin. So
let wild Rivers flow, with
their constant devotion, for
they always must wander to
merge with their Ocean. |
