Consider All Of This

Consider all of this at once to put it into perspective and it will make your head ache.

In spite of the fact that we spend trillions of dollars a year for national defense, the United State of America was caught off guard by a bunch of terrorist that we knew and did absolutely nothing about. Then in the midst of the horror, our Government got so scared about the whole thing that it sent the President into hiding. They continued to hide as they thought that our cities would be blown up and chose not to tell anyone. Do you think that there was a reason for those fighters flying 24-7 with air to air missiles over every major city? Dah! On top of that our leaders chose to close down the entire transportation system for weeks, impose draconian security measures on such thing as people with fingernail clippers flying commercial airlines so that they killed any interest by any sane person for flying. Congress then approves a flood of money to the very government officials that did not handle any of this right in the first place.

Add to all of this the fact that the citizens of the United States through their Congressmen have made the unprecedented decision to make multimillionaires out of the families who lost loved ones in the terrorism. In a knee jerk reaction we throw billions of dollars of B52 smart bombs at a few thousand third world terrorist gorillas and are now stuck trying to figure out what to do with the prisoners we want to hang while we throw more billions to prop their already devastated country up. What are our leaders thinking, that this was a World War II movie? Do our leaders actually think that an unending war is going to be acceptable to America?

All the while this same government of ours said and did nothing to prevent companies like Enron from destroying thousands of employees who were fired for being honest or older or simply because the companies themselves were dissolving into a flood of red ink brought on by corruption. Looking back the simple and obvious fact is that our Government has been more interested in Globalization than they have been interested in governing the welfare and security of America. In the mean time they carefully chose to do nothing to pursue con men investors who have bilked the stock market for billions.

Why don't we all just say, "Look elected leaders, whether you want to admit it or not you have been screwing up royally and you will pay for it in the elections to come. But instead of doing anything about all of this, you continue to ignore the citizen's plight. Americans are out of jobs and we need work." I am talking about commercial work, not war work. I am talking about now, not in the next six months. "Get off of your fat rich asses and use your power to do something right for a change. You work for us and this is what we pay you for." Is it because we are now all Patriotic?

You say you are Patriotic and people should not talk like that in a time of war? Well, once again this is not a war because Congress has not declared it so. This is another sanctioned military action with an unlimited budget and without a final game plan, just like Vietnam. Patriotism has everything to do with the administration of justice by voting bastards who are ruining us all out of office. I have the feeling that there are an awful lot of voters out there that feel this way. The Republicans and Democrats are both the blame for this fiasco. The Democrats did nothing for national security but bleed us all dry with unregulated Internet investment hype. The Democrats left the Republicans in an absolute mess. They put thousands of last minute policies into place to screw up the Republican administration's ability to govern. Look at what they did to the White House. Nothing worked. There was no attempt at cooperative transition by the Democratic White House staff.

But there was eight months to make changes and you have to admit that the last seven months since then have left the tragic stupidity of Ruby Ridge and Waco look like child's play. America has been retaliating against a relative handful of people by killing more even more thousands with advanced weapons, and in spite of it all we haven't seemed to be able to capture the main two sick enemy leaders?

I just wish there was a Presidential election next week and a decent third party to vote for. It if were up to me I would revoke some of our leaders citizenship for their disgraceful incompetence in mismanaging the trust of America's welfare.
