IT Is Who We AreBy Roy D. Follendore III Copyright (c) 2002 by RDFollendoreIII February 24, 2002 It is almost over. The last ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics is all but over now. The spectacle was a six billion dollar transparent show. It was not about competition of athletics. It was about dominance through international rule and procedure and economic classes. It may have once been about a dream two thousand years ago, but it certainly now has become a military and political dream. It is ultimately not at all about the Olympics. This years winter Olympics was produced in the shadow of a "war" that the administration has created without a formal declaration by Congress, which turned the games into a police camp. The inevitable momentum of thinking in terms of war, once began, was a perception that was difficult to stop. We are where we are because of our way of thinking, and we are made up of our way of presenting what we are thinking about all of "it." What is "it?" It is who we are. It is our plan for getting along. It is sustaining our wealth. It is Peace, and trust, and truth, and justice. "It" is the all of it, the kit and caboodle, the naked truth, the full Monty. "It" is how we present ourselves to ourselves and to others. It is "the" big plan. I have been listening and trying to make sense of this plan as it is reflected from our national media from the moist warm lips of our leaders. This year it has been about the context of conformity instead of diversity. It was about the ideal that America is only secure if we are constantly prepared to commit thousands of troops into combat within our streets, with cameras on every street. America is secure if we make soldiers out of our domestic police force and use that force instantly and at the slightest provocation. Peace is simply about the instant and overwhelming use of force in the name of the law. The laws should be made uniformly tough so that anyone who commits an act of violence for any reason is a felon who is against the moral rights of America. America needs to commit these individuals who do harm to our freedoms of peace to prison. The obvious answer to obtaining peace is to eliminate all of those who think differently. Anyone who thinks differently is a subversive who is against America. Anyone who acts in violation of the majority is an incurable who does not deserve to be American. Those who want to believe like Americans, we are willing to talk with. Those who are willing to act like Americans, we are willing to allow as American allies. Together, Americans and our allies will defend American ideals anywhere in the World. Any nation or group who attempts to disagree we will label and defeat. Any nation who attempts to act differently, we will crush. We will listen to everyone overseas, and we will know when there are those who are against us. We will establish courts where we can prosecute anyone overseas under American laws. We will establish military tribunals where our American laws can be manipulated so these foreigners who might oppose us can be tried without the rights given to Americans. We will "adjust" the American court so that due process of law is not equal because equality is only appropriate for those who believe in our beliefs. When they are within our control, we will chain them and control even their ability to eliminate their bowels. We will extend our ability to universally track down and prosecute those dissidents who may be considered against the American Government within America by creating a Homeland Security force. We will change the laws of this Great Nation to provide the means for instant identification of those who are with or against us. We will treat those who appear to be against us with terrible prejudice so that they will no longer desire to be against us. We will tap their private conversations, and we will put viruses in their computers so that we can know what they typed, what they corrected as they typed, and therefore what they were thinking when they wrote what they were writing. In this way we will be able to prosecute our enemy's intent, regardless of what their actions were. We will control the ability of all good Americans to travel in the air. We will identify dissidents who fly commercial aircraft by creating rules that make it impossible for dissidents to fly. We will make the experience of flying unwelcome to those who do not appreciate our "patriotic" measures. We will tax every American so that we can make these measures iron clad. We will show that we are willing to shoot down any airline and that will show our will. This is the compressed, combined version of the news we hear. Is it what America has become, or is this what the media is telling us we are becoming? Is this "it?" Is "it" all there is? |
