Walt Whitman wrote of the birth of humanity with respect to time. The Leaves of Time speaks of time as a part of the destiny of technological change. The image is of a path that buries event the realities of war as we fly into the future. As a work of art, the Leaves of Time is a heroic iconic association, a necessary retrospective of who and what we were, in order to broach the concept of what we may become.
