So my genuine nature
seems too hard to believe
and some things I've said or done
can be to hard to conceive.

For all those who might wonder
if I'm such the real deal
you should think about these factors
and consider just how I feel.

Sometimes I feel like an ancient myth
of some alligator headed snake.
Some folks simply don't like me
others think that I'm a fake.

And when I ask them to check
all the things that I've done
they do so with such prejudice
they must think that I might run.

Some think it must be wonderful,
 to be what they think I am,
others worry I might curry favors
though I don't give a damn.

So please don't polish a false luster,
for my time is not all that free.
Who cares about all these questions?
It's enough just knowing me!
