The Grand MachineBy Roy D. Follendore III Copyright© 2002 by
RDFollendoreIII So amazing it is to consider what paused our grand machine was it a threat of one in a million or the threat of a single fiend. Was it the empathy toward a Mother unprepared for her child? Or was it concern for a Father who was too caring, meek or mild? Or simply a violent reminder, that any moment can be the end? Or the thought of life too fragile, for which we should depend. What causes a men to go hunting, for our innocence deep inside? What is it that makes us hate us? How far could hate reside? These questions may not be answered For they resolve far less than they send. The reply resides in one question, When can this terror end? Though the acts such vultures should have matched profiles that we could seek, our chance for catching the wicked arose from the accident of a leak. So now that our fears seem over, and mans morals we cannot redeem, we shall turn out our politicians. to crank up the grand machine!
