Why America Is A Racist Nation

America is a racist nation. Human beings prefer cultures that they understand and can predict. Cultures are racial. Skin tone is usually an attribute of culture and so is language. Webster's Dictionary states that a person that speaks an Afroasiatic language such as Arabic or Hebrew is a Semite. To be anti-Semitic is to be against these people. By taking a stand against the Palestinians, the United States is also by definition anti-Semitic.

So America is a racist and anti-Semitic nation. Well guess what? Human beings are animals that prefer to organize ourselves around skin tone. Maybe human beings should be against people who speak Arabic or Hebrew. Maybe there are cultures that human beings should be against. If that means that human beings are racist or anti-Semitic then that is so.

It is impossible to separate the labels that we have put upon ourselves from our morals. If everyone that you know is green and speaks a planetary language called "Tartuk" than you would be used to them by now. If you were suddenly introduced to such a person, you would be hesitant. It is hard to see where you would be wrong in such a reaction. But the whole point is that somehow we have created a society that says we must always accept the unexpected without understanding and there is something terribly wrong with that concept and it something we do not like to admit. We are all afraid.

Fear is a natural physiological and psychological product of meeting the unknown, particularly unfamiliar cultures. It can be a good thing and there is an excellent reason why. Since man has evolved the greatest predator of mankind is man. It takes time and understanding to overcome fear, particularly fear of other cultures. Cultures are tribal products that are derived from collective choices.

Cultures are created for self identity of tribes of mankind and as such this includes choices about lifestyles. Culture defines the tribes morays and describes the tribal congruence of that which is beautiful and ugly. If racial characteristics are part of this then the tribe will tend to take on a specific physical characteristic. Tribal culture is what differentiates one tribe from another and it represents a survival choice for that group of human beings. Tribal culture has allowed humans to maintain a wide variety of gene pools. Human beings have needed tribal differentiation not only to survive but to advance terms of knowledge. Tribal cultures are mankind's knowledge pools and it is important to keep them separate. But knowledge is also power and it is also important to share knowledge.

Because of this, tribal cultures are predatory by nature and this fact extends into the philosophical reasoning of its members. The majority of high school students believe it is OK to deceive a person for personal gain as long as you do not really know that person. In other words, it is OK to prey upon others who are not part of your tribe. If we follow that thread we can see a situation in a large tribe we can easily foresee situations where an individual preys on a person that was not known to be in the same tribe. This is where racial characteristics, as well as rituals, gestures, secret languages and tokens become useful. These things give an advantage to a culture.

The reason why America is a racist nation is simple. America is made up of cultures clinging to separate identities. It is the collective nature of cultures to be predatory. You can not educate a culture but you can educate individual people. It may take generations to change cultures. On the other hand, there are aspects of basic human nature that can not be changed. What is important is understanding and actions. There is a goodness in all individuals because in the end we all belong to the same larger tribe.
