Why is it that we Americans must choose between the right to choose to have an abortion and the right to own a gun to protect ourselves? Why is it that the "conservative" idea also is the "Born Again Christian" ideal? Why is it that the conservative idea is considered the one that does nothing to protect the environment? Why is it the conservative ideal is the one that tends to wipe out the opportunities for the little guy? Why isn't an attempt to prevent crime through outreach and rehabilitation programs considered conservative? Why is it that equality and civil rights are considered liberal concepts and not conservative ones? Why is it that the people who protect the Constitutional rights of people are not considered conservative? Why are the people who demonstrate for peace and against war not considered conservative? Why is it that those who preach for the poor are so wealthy? Why is it that people who are against murder are for the death penalty? Why is it that the American "democracy" uses an electoral vote to judge the winner of elections? Why is it that the American Government is authorized to tax anything and everything? Why is it that local schools centralize students and then claim they made mistakes when students get lost in the mega system? Why is it that politicians think that tougher sentencing laws will reduce crime instead of increasing the population of prisons? Why is it that felons who pay their debt to society never actually are considered to have paid their debt to society? Why is it that Executives are allowed to steal millions of dollars and it is considered a "white collar crime?" Why is it that the American Departments of Agriculture and Interior are not the driving legislative forces behind the protection of American agriculture and interior? Why is it that Police Departments allowed to materially benefit from making arrests and seizing properties? Why isn't it just part of their job? Why is it that artists are not able to make a decent living in American society? Why is it that the United States Patent process is so useless? Why is it that we have not held the people responsible for allowing 911 to occur? Why is it that our Government has been allowed to destroy the airline industry in order to make it more safe? Why is it that Americans must pay Social Security taxes when we know that we will never benefit from Social Security? Why is it that we have allowed the administration to destroy the economy of the United States in the name of making it safer place to live? Why is it that we do not understand that economics is an important part of the concept of safety? Why is it that the more responsibility that the Government demands, the less responsible government it delivers. Why is it that a person who is being treated for cancer can be given a prescription for morphine but not pot? Why is it that the Federal Government is allowed to dictate the right of it's States to deal with the ethical treatment of dying citizens? Why does every Boy Scout have to express their belief in God? Why is it that the United States accept as citizens people that bring with them the politics they can not handle in their home country? Why is it that the United States Government can't make United States citizens first? Why is it that we think that America will continue to exist as a free and open country when the ethnic groups that come to live in this country pack themselves into enclaves that then control the local vote? Why is it that we think that America does not face the fact that centralized government makes the difficulties of growth more difficult?
